Pitzer College Art Galleries provides internship opportunities to Pitzer students interested in areas of gallery work from audience engagement to collection management

Student Coordinator Positions

We offer the following internship positions on a competitive basis to Pitzer students: Audience Engagement Coordinator, Permanent Collection Coordinator, and Social Media Coordinator. 

Audience Engagement Coordinator

The Audience Engagement Coordinator will play a key role in managing audience engagement in the galleries, welcoming students, faculty, and staff, as well as external audiences, including alumni, Pitzer families, art professionals, and others into the space. The Audience Engagement Coordinator will work with assistant director Christopher Michno.


Permanent Collection Coordinator

The Permanent Collection Coordinator will play a key role in assisting Galleries staff in managing the Galleries’ permanent collection, helping to catalogue, document, and track existing works displayed on campus and in storage. The Permanent Collection Coordinator will work with assistant director Christopher Michno and preparator Michal Wisniowski.


Social Media Coordinator

The Social Media Coordinator will play a key role in activating our social media streams to expand engagement with the galleries’ programming among students, faculty, and staff, as well as external audiences, including alumni, Pitzer families, art professionals, and others. The Social Media Coordinator will work with assistant director Christopher Michno.


Hours and Duration

  • These internships are temporary, part-time opportunities.
  • Flexible schedule. 10 hours + per week, Tuesday through Friday plus some weekend and evening special events.
  • Internships last January through May and September through December
